37 Minutes

It took me 37 minutes to figure out how to re-log into my blog and to remember how to post an entry.. 37 minutes. I had intended to keep this blog up to date to the best of my ability, but that obviously did not go as planned. It's been a month and half now since I've moved to Georgia and it is so different here. It is no longer "hello" when greeting a customer at work its "yes ma'am" or "yes sir" accented with a southern drawl of course. I find it so amazing how quickly I acquired a thick southern accent. I haven't posted in so long because I thought I couldn't find anything to say, but then when I really thought about it I decided I could easily write an entry about this move. Now that I am on my own I feel like I have the authority to give advice to those younger and still living with their parents, and that would be to be careful when moving out. Be very careful. Give first, save second, and live off the rest  (props to Athens Church for that one). I do not regret moving out on my own in the slightest, but I do wish it has been an easier adventure. I cannot count how many times I have had to call the main office about things that have gone wrong in this apartment; please keep in mind I have only lived here a month and a half. We can start with the sink not draining properly, then there was a sliding door that was broken, my front door needed its weather strips replaced (that one took two calls because they didn't complete the job the first time), and don't get me started on the roaches. They're gone now but I have gnats and those may be just as bad. I am sleeping in a bed of bug spray tonight. Another thing, when moving out never settle. Be sure to get a high end place that will take care of you as well as your apartment. Albeit, the staff here is nice, but the job quality just doesn't cut it. I am happy though and I love everything that is going on in my life right now. I am missing home a lot here recently and I can't wait until I can plan a visit. There's just something about being a Carolina girl that I love. More than anything I'm missing my family and my best friend. It's going to be so strange spending my birthday without them. I am excited though because I do get the day off from work and I get to spend it with the boyfriend, Joshua. <3 He has taken such great care of me since I've moved down here and I really don't know what I would have done without him. It's going to be amazing once we start our life together and moving back to Greensboro like we have planned after finishing school. I am kind of excited to go back to school. That's if everything works out with the FASFA and I get enough financial aid to even go back. But I am realizing this entry is starting to be all over the place and didn't really have a point. This blog entry took me less time to type then it took me to sign in and figure out how to type it. I'll have to work on that. Hopefully my next one will be better. Much love.
